Annual Meeting and Seminar

Join us for an all-day event with Nancy Loe.

Program will include a business portion for installation of elected officers of Treasurer and Second Vice President of Membership.

Session 1:  Beyond Ancestry: Essential Portals for Genealogy Research

A whole wide world of free resources awaits the genealogist who knows where to look.

Move beyond Ancestry, FamilySearch, and other major sites to discover free online

research portals with newspapers, maps, books, and more for your family history research.

Session 2:  Picture this! Cataloging Digital Family Photos

Family photographs may seem so complex that they defy organizing. Tame your digital family photographs adding names, dates, and other information to inside images. Scanning, tagging, organizing your family photos are covered step-by-step, so you can do it once and do it right.

Session 3:  European Immigrant Ancestors

Many factors pushed or pulled our European ancestors to emigrate. Follow in the footsteps of family members who arrived in America between 1820 and 1920. What did our European ancestors experience when they decided to leave their homes and communities to sail to America? What was the voyage like? How did they make their way in the New World? Then discover essential and unusual resources for European immigrant ancestors in this presentation.

Session 4:  Ten Skills Every Genealogist Needs

This presentation helps you master five essential skills for genealogy research and five more for information management. Discover new resources, extract more information from records, discover useful free websites, defeat brick walls, share with others, and stay organized.
