SDGS welcomes your support in one or more of the following ways:  

1 - Volunteer – Your Time and Skills are Needed!

Check in at the Registration table at an Annual Meeting

Combine your enthusiasm for genealogy and family history with a contribution of your time and skills to the society. Contact admin@casdgs.org for more information and volunteer opportunities.

  • Do you have research to share?

  • Help conduct Queries/Random Acts of Kindness for others’ research.

  • Publicity, desktop publishing skills are needed.

  • Assist with meeting and event planning.

    Other Ways to Contribute 

    San Diego Genealogical Society may receive other donations such as bequests, gifts of life insurance, real estate, securities and memorials.

    The San Diego Genealogical Society is an all-volunteer, public benefit non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization financed solely by membership dues and donations. We are registered in the state of California, Tax ID #95-6079748.  All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Consult with your financial adviser about making a contribution to the San Diego Genealogical Society.

    Many companies have matching gift plans that match donations or hours of volunteering made by employees or retirees of the company to non-profit organizations. The procedure is simple: just fill out your company's matching gift form.

    Community Contribution Program     

    Register your Food4Less reward card and designate the San Diego Genealogical Society as your organization for the Community Contribution Program. Every time a registered SDGS member shops for groceries at Food4Less and swipes their reward card, the San Diego Genealogical Society earns a rebate. There is no cost to the shopper for participating.

    SDGS is non-profit organization # FF801 in the program.

    Re-registration is required in September each year in order to continue donating.

    Community Contribution Program

    Register your Ralphs Rewards card and designate the San Diego Genealogical Society as your organization for the Ralphs Community Contribution Program. Every time a registered SDGS member shops for groceries at Ralphs and swipes their Ralphs Rewards card, the San Diego Genealogical Society earns a rebate. There is no cost to shoppers for participating.
