Historical Societies in San Diego County, California
The Society collection outgrew Spanish Village in Balboa Park and leased apartment and houses until it moved into its library location in El Cajon in 1994 and on Ronson Road in 2009. It closed in 2013 when the entire SDGS collection was moved to the 9th floor of the San Diego Public Library downtown.
Docents of the Society along with the library staff on the 9th floor and volunteers of the library, assist visitors using the genealogy collection. Visit the San Diego Public Library to take advantage of the substantial resources to further your genealogical discovery.
