Monthly Program
Join us for a Members Only program with SDGS Member Del Ritchhart and learn about Evernote and Newspaper Research.

Session 1:  Evernote for the Genealogist

It has been said about Evernote that “It may be the best application that you have never heard about”.  That was probably in its earlier days, as I find most genealogists of today have heard of it; but don’t necessarily know how to use it.  The presentation is designed to not only tell you what Evernote will do; but to show you how to do it.  Cyndi Engles of Cyndi’s List has said “I truly believe Evernote was made for genealogical research. It is the online genealogist’s best friend.”  While Evernote has many features and capabilities, this presentation will be focusing on the fundamental features that one would find most useful for genealogical research and other daily use.

Session 2:  Extra! Extra! Read All About It! Newspaper Research Tips

Overview of several top internet newspaper research sites and the types of facts that can be gleaned from Historical Newspapers and how to effectively mine genealogical information from these on-line sites.
