      German Special Interest Group 

The History of the German Language and its Dialects and What they Mean for the Researcher

Speaker: Fritz Juengling

In this presentation, participants will learn some of the major changes in the German language and how these changes are manifested in German dialects today. How are Bockholt and Buchholz, for example, related. And, what do these sound changes and correspondences mean for the genealogical researcher? Come learn the answers to these questions.
