Session 1: Finding Your Danish Parish of Birth and Accessing the Records.
Preparation in the US is key to successfully "crossing the pond". We will identify resources, which may lead to the name of the parish of your Scandinavian immigrant. This session covers techniques, which are critical to Scandinavian research.
Session 2: Introduction to Swedish Parish and Household Examination Records.
An introductory session on accessing and using the records of the parish - birth, marriage, death and clerical surveys - with a focus on extracting all the information they contain.
