Virtual Meeting! DNA Interest Group

This meeting will be the first virtual meeting for San Diego Genealogical Society. 

You will be able to access this meeting from your home. People who wish to attend must sign up by sending an email to cwhitaz05@hotmail.com at least two days prior to the meeting date, namely by March 26th.

The facilitator will send you the invitation link to join the meeting, with the meeting ID code, on the day of the meeting. When you receive the link, click on it and it will automatically download the ZOOM app. Click on the ZOOM app and enter the meeting ID code. You will want to click on the link about a half hour before the meeting starts so you don't miss any part of the meeting.

You will also receive electronically, copies of the presentations the day before the meeting so that you can print them out prior to the meeting. In the meeting, you will be able to see the presentation on the facilitators screen and you will be able to ask questions. Your audio and video will be transmitted to everyone unless you mute them.

This Special Interest Group will meet most months. We will focus on all aspects of using DNA for genealogical purposes. We will cover the basics of DNA, organizing your data, and testing your DNA at the major websites. The tools available at these websites which help you understand your results will be discussed, as well as the additional the benefits of using third party tools.  The agenda for each meeting will be posted prior to the event.
